Installation
insurance provides protection for the installer of equipment
against loss to the equipment and other property during the
course of installation. It can be provided against loss by
certain named perils or on an 'all-risk' basis. An example
of the need for this insurance is if an elevator was installed
and it was damaged or destroyed before the buyer could take
possession, the contractor would lose the cost of labor and
materials if there was not an installation insurance policy.
